Patients will be placed under general anesthesia so that they will not feel discomfort during the procedure. When patients are sedated, Dr. Gentile will begin the procedure by making incisions in the nose, either through the bridge or in the nostril, to reshape the nose. This allows Dr. Gentile to manipulate and reshape soft tissue and bone to create the ideal shape for his patients.

When the procedure is complete, patients are held for observation until the anesthesia wears off. After the procedure, they are required to arrange transportation with a trusted friend or relative.

Rhinoplasty Recovery

The level of discomfort and swelling caused by a rhinoplasty is different for everyone, but you can expect a moderate amount of both in the immediate aftermath of your surgery.
