Center technology featured on Today show and the "Doctors"
Recently our ablative fractional laser the Lumenis Ultrapulse DeepFX was featured on the Today Show. Describing new scar treatment options Matt Lauer interviewed the Berns triplets who suffered severe third degree burns as chilidren. The fractional laser is helping to reduce scar tissue and blend skin irregularities. Also the Cynosure SmartLipo MPX one of the few in Northern Ohio was featured on the Doctors in a segment on minimally invasive liposuction procedures. The Facial Plastic & Aethetic Laser Center is Northern Ohio's tecnology leader for Plastic Surgery Laser Procedures.

DR. RICHARD GENTILE INTRODUCES "SMARTLIFTING" TO EUPOPEAN & INTERNATIONAL COLLEAGUES AT INTERNATIONAL MASTER COURSE IN PARIS, FRANCE. Elle Magazine features Dr. Gentile’s technique of  Smartlifting™ in the January 2009 edition.  The article LIFTOFF in Elle’s Beauty News describes the technology utilized in accomplishing the first laser assisted facelift first performed by Dr. Gentile in 2007. The article details the technological advantages in utilizing the laser to reduce operating times as well as achieving improved sculpting and a tissue tightening effect that is not possible with conventional facelifts. Dr. Gentile has completed nearly 200 Smartlifting™ procedures and he believes Smartlifting™ is the first of many technological advances that will make facial rejuvenation procedures quicker, easier, and less costly for patients interested in facial rejuvenation.  Commenting on the development of the technique Dr. Gentile stated that most patients are interested in easier less costly solutions for facial aging that don’t require general anesthesia to LIFTOFF the years. read more

Dr. Gentile & Cynosure hosted an advanced technology workshop on Smartlifting at the Four Season's Hotel in Mid-Town Manhattan.  The advanced topics workshop reviewed advances in laser lipolysis as well as Smartlifting.  The workshop was attended by over 30 Plastic Surgeons from Manhattan and the surrounding Tri State region as well as Boston Massachucetts.  The interest level is high to learn about the laser assisted facelift.

Smartlifting the worlds first laser assisted facelift was profiled in Plastic Surgery Practice-Innovations in Aesthetic Medicine in the Novermber 2008 Issue. A review of the frist 150 cases utilizing a laser for flap elevation was reviewed.

We are pleased to introduce SmartFirming™ a minimally invasive technique for facial firming and sculpting powered by the Cynosure Smartlipo MPX laser.  Similar to the proprietary Smartlifting™  techniques we introduced earlier this year SmartFirming™ uses laser therapy under the facial skin to tone and sculpt the aging face. Smartlifting is a proprietary procedure developed by Dr. Gentile in 2007. Fractional Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Each year nearly half a million teens undergo some sort of plastic surgery. Recent statistics indicate that the rates for teen plastic surgery is increasing at 50% or more per year and probably some of this increase is due to reality TV programming.

Typically teens or younger children will present for reshaping of their noses or ears. They may also request chin implants, treatment for acne or acne scarring or plastic surgery for inherited facial features. We typically see many teens and young adults for Rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty is the technical term for a popular plastic surgery procedure, also referred to as the "nose job". Many people elect to undergo a rhinoplasty to decrease the nose's prominence on their face, or to improve its function. There are many components of the nose that can be changed, including its length, width, shape, height, and the size and shape of the nostrils.
