AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR LASER MEDICINE AND SURGERY ANNUAL MEETING FOR 2012

Dr. Gentile was an invited speaker at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Annual Meeting for 2012 held in Orlando Florida on April 18-22, 2012. The meeting assembles some of the premier laser surgeons from the US and internationally with emphasis on laser assisted techniques and laser research. Dr. Gentile presented on "Minimal Access Laser Assited Neck Lift." Interestingly the talk was one of about 5 that addressed laser assisted face and necklifting or "Smartlifting" which was introduced to the national and international Plastic Surgery Societies by Dr. Gentile in 2008 in Chicago. Dr. Gentile has completed over 600 laser assisted facial rejuvenation procedures. read more

Dr. Gentile was an invited speaker at the Aging Face Meeting 2012 held in San Diego California on January 18-22, 2012.  The meeting assembles some of the premier surgeons from the US and internationally with emphasis on technques for the Aging Face.  Dr. Gentile presented on “Acne and Acne Scarring” in the Laser Workshop and participated in a national expert panel on treating complications from laser surgery. read more

Laser Neck Lift ™ featured on Dr. Oz Show

The Laser Neck Lift™ featuring laser lipolysis was featured on The Dr. Oz show last week in a segment on age erasers. The segment feature the unique attributes of the laser for facial & Neck rejuvenation. This procedure is part of the SmartLifting™ facial rejuvenation techniques introduced by Dr. Gentile in 2007 and 2008. Dr. Gentile has the largest series of laser assisted facial rejuvenation procedures performed and is close to 500. The technology is very exciting and is the first true innovation for facial rejvuenation surgery in some time. The program also showed laser therapy for spider veins.

Each year nearly half a million teens undergo some sort of plastic surgery. Recent statistics indicate that the rates for teen plastic surgery is increasing at 50% or more per year and probably some of this increase is due to reality TV programming.

Typically teens or younger children will present for reshaping of their noses or ears. They may also request chin implants, treatment for acne or acne scarring or plastic surgery for inherited facial features. We typically see many teens and young adults for Rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty is the technical term for a popular plastic surgery procedure, also referred to as the "nose job".
