Revision Facelift Surgery

On the day of your revision facelift surgery, you will come into our office in Youngstown, near Akron, where we will welcome you and check you in for your appointment. You’ll be given either general anesthesia or intravenous sedation so that you won’t feel any pain during the procedure.

Dr. Gentile will create incisions along marked lines, which are usually the same as the lines from your last facelift, so you don’t have as many scars. He’ll then access the facial tissue and muscles to correct and/or improve your facial contour. Once your underlying structures have been tightened, Dr. Gentile will re-drape the skin over your face, cut away excess skin, and close the incisions with sutures.

After your surgery is complete, you’ll be monitored in one of our recovery rooms as you adjust to the anesthesia wearing off. You’ll experience some soreness, swelling, and sensitivity for the rest of the day, but you can tolerate it with pain medication. You must have a trusted individual to pick you up.
