Cellulaze

For many individuals, cellulite can be a very frustrating condition. Though many people believe cellulite is caused by fat, cellulite is actually caused by a structural problem beneath the skin. While certain factors like hormones, age, genetics and weight fluctuations can contribute to cellulite, it can occur in anyone regardless of weight or size and it can be very difficult to improve despite even the best attempts at diet and exercise. To date, there have been hundreds of treatments promising to banish cellulite, from creams and topical treatments, to dietary supplements, massage and more. However, few of these treatments have been truly effective until now.

Cellulaze is a revolutionary, minimally-invasive, laser-assisted treatment for cellulite that addresses the structural problems beneath the skin. The dimpled, "cottage cheese" appearance associated with cellulite is actually caused by stiffening of the connective tissue bands beneath the skin and bulging of the fat cells that surround them. Cellulaze utilizes laser technology to release the fibrous bands that pull down on the skin while also leveling out the bumps of fat for a smoother appearance. At the same time, Cellulaze helps to increase the skin’s natural thickness and elasticity for a more youthful, taut appearance.

Dr. Richard Gentile is an internationally recognized, board certified plastic surgeon with locations in Youngstown, Akron, and Cleveland, Ohio. He performs Cellulaze with local anesthesia or a numbing solution and treatment takes just 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. Several tiny incisions which measure about the size of a pen tip are made in the treatment area. The Cellulaze™ laser fiber is fitted inside of a very small cannula and then inserted through the incision sites, applying the laser energy to the area while liquefying excess fat and removing it. Treatment Recovery is quick with patients experiencing some minor bruising and discomfort. Though a compression garment will need to be worn for a period of time, most patients are back to work and other normal activities within one to two days. Results are immediate with continued improvement for three to twelve months.
